Our Company History

Alley Cat Car & Van Rentals have traded successfully for over 25 years. It all started in 1995 – Founder & Owner Phil took his Escort Van to be fixed at his commercial ford garage, a mistake meant that the vehicle wasn’t ready for another 4 weeks. With a courtesy van provided in somewhat of a poor state and essential for Phil’s trade at the time not being allowed to but a roof rack on it, another van was brought. Once the escort van had been fixed, there was now a spare, whilst parked at a trade warehouse a query was raised whether a van was available…. there started a rental agreement that sparked the revolution that is Alley Cat.

Over the next year, 5 vans were purchased and by 1999 it was time to go full time along with the introduction of cars. In 2002 Alley Cat joined United Rentals and begun expanding the fleet, 18 years on Alley Cat Car & Van Rental now offer a wide range of Cars, Vans, Minibuses, Chillers, 4 x 4’s, Campers and even a Wheelchair Access vehicle.

With two locations Alley Cat Car & Van Rental continue to provide great friendly service and very low prices without the hidden extras.
